It’s unfortunate that after the shenanigans following last year’s awards, there is no category this year for best outdoor blogger. However, don’t let that minor disappointment temper your enthusiasm, because there’s a whole load of other categories on the list.
1) Walkers’ pub of the year.
2) Walkers’ Café of the year.
3) Campaign, or Campaigner of the year.
4) Outdoor personality of the year.
5) Outdoor book of the year.
6) Independent retailer of the year.
7) Chain retailer of the year.
8) Online retailer of the year.
9) Outdoor clothing or equipment brand of the year.
If, for whatever reason, you don’t want to vote in a particular category, you don’t have to but take the chance if you can to nominate something. It might be your local pub on your favourite walk, or a person or organisation who has impressed you in striving to achieve a goal that helps the great outdoors in campaign of the year.
Me? Well, I’d be lying if I didn’t want my latest book, Balancing on Blue, to be nominated for best book. The feedback has been overwhelming since its release in March this year and let’s face it, awards are always a great way to spur on success for any book. If you have read the book, and feel it worthy, please put in a vote.
