Peglers is an outdoor store based in Arundel, a beautiful little town at the base of the South Downs, not too far from where I live. You know they mean business because they don’t call themselves a camping store, they’re known as ‘Expedition Advisors’. I’ve been going there since the early 90’s for most of my gear; Dave and Richard know their stuff inside out and always give an honest opinion.
Since my return from the Appalachian Trail and my nominations in the The Great Outdoors Magazine, they kindly offered to put a display of some of the gear I used in the window of their main shop in the High Street.
The tent on display is a ZPacks Hexamind Solo which I used for the first few weeks before changing to a hammock. It was hard enough enough to get a decent pitch in the wilds, let alone in the tight space behind the window on a wooden floor, I had to resort to nails and a slightly saggy pitch but it is up, along with most of my other gear.
Thanks chaps!
