For the past year, a local sculpture has spent around 240 hours chiselling away at a very large block of Portland Stone on the South Downs, and so have a lot of other people who’ve passed him. In December he hopes to have finished it, when it will be moved to its final resting place on The Slindon Estate. What’s it all about?
